During your first 12 months of employment, you will be trained to IMI Level 3 in Electric Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
Job Purpose:
Our client is seeking a qualified MOT Tester who prides themselves on delivering accurate, honest, and thorough vehicle inspections compliant with DVSA standards. Your main responsibilities will include performing MOT tests, ensuring vehicles meet all safety and legal requirements. Additionally, you will assist with servicing, minor mechanical repairs, and vehicle preparation for sale.
You will maintain the highest standards of safety, and meet all legislative and corporate standards. You’ll demonstrate our client’s Purpose, Principles, and Ambition (PPA) in all dealings with colleagues, customers, and prospects.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
* Deliver the highest possible levels of technical advice, service, and maintenance to all clients' customers, on all brands of vehicles.
* Work within relevant protocols dictated by legislation, the company, the manufacturer, and relevant suppliers.
* Assist Senior and Master Technicians, undertaking prescribed learning and development.
* Maintain comprehensive records in an appropriate and timely manner, ensuring colleagues do the same.
* Create and maintain a supportive culture for all colleagues in line with our client’s PPA.
* Commit to ongoing learning and development.
* Deliver services in the most resource-effective manner possible.
* Focus on MOT Testing, Servicing, minor repairs, and vehicle preparation for sale.
Requirements:
* Fully qualified – City & Guilds Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3, or equivalent.
* Confident using MOT testing tools and software.
* Proven experience conducting MOT tests in a dealership or fast-fit environment.
* Ability to manage processes, administration, and paperwork.
* Full driving license held for at least 6 months with fewer than 9 penalty points.
* Proof of right to work in the UK.
