Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in tools such as Excel, Tableau, SPSS, or Alteryx, and experience in building predictive models and handling large datasets. Strong understanding of audience insight and segmentation, including consumer behaviour, market research, and barriers to engagement in cultural or heritage sectors. Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders through clear, engaging communication and strategic decision frameworks. Track record of delivering impactful data projects that support long-term visitor growth and are adopted across a complex organisation. Additional criteria for all other applicants: Strategic background as an experienced consultant / influencing high level direction. Ability to think strategically about ‘how we will win at this’, helping senior leaders to moderate decision making with unique perspectives Ability to self-start and get curious about opportunities; good with people, building trust quickly to learn more about a problem. Strategy Analyst - Visitor ExperienceYou’ll report to the Visitor Experience Director and work closely with the Visitor Experience Senior Leadership Team. We are a close team, where high support and high challenge is expected and absolute focus on audiences is our passion, to deliver consistently good, repeatable experiences.Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon and there will be an expectation for you to attend the office. However, there is flexibility on where you are based at other times. You will be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week. This will be discussed in more detail at interview.You’ll be a strategic thinker and trusted advisor to work closely with senior leaders—particularly Directors—to shape and refine strategic direction. You’ll facilitate high-level conversations, translating complex data into actionable insights, and aligning decisions with our broader goals and public benefit outcomes. Embedded within the Visitor Experience Leadership Team, you’ll provide evidence-based feedback, support sense-making, and ensure informed decision-making. With a balance of analytical accuracy and compelling storytelling, you’ll turn data into meaningful narratives. Highly collaborative and inquisitive, you’ll gather insights across teams, connect knowledge, and co-create solutions.
