Position: KS3 - KS4 Teacher - Pupil Referral Unit (PRU)
Location: Blackpool
Salary: £32,916 - £45,350 (M1-M6) - Salary paid to scale calculated on a daily basis.
Type: Temporary
Duration: 2.5 Terms
Start Date: ASAP
About the Role
Vida Education are working alongside a large Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) within Blackpool to find an enthusiastic teacher to work within their KS3 and KS4 provision. Students may present with SEMH/EBD and/or challenging behaviours and specific learning difficulties.
School: Supports children between the ages of 9-16 with SEMH/EBD and/or challenging behaviour who have been removed from or excluded from mainstream education. Teaching small classes of up to 8 children within the KS3 and KS4 provision. Located close to local public transport links.
Requirements
* Must have prior experience working with secondary aged children with challenging behaviour.
* Strong understanding of de-escalation techniques
* Team Teach qualification is desirable
* Hold UK QTS
* ECT are welcome to apply
* Have an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one
* YOU WILL NEED TO Have UK Right to Work Status.
* Hold a TA qualification or have relevant work experience.
* Complete a registration with Vida Education which includes holding a current Enhanced DBS registered with the DBS Update Service, or you will be prepared to apply for a new ENHANCED DBS with ourselves (cost applied).
