We are recruiting Vehicle Technicians at Thurrock Workshop on a permanent contract, with the potential to earn up to £70k including overtime. Salary: £42,558 per annum. A weekend supplement for Saturday (£50 per attendance) is applicable. Working hours are full time (39.5 hours per week) with a rotating shift pattern and 1 in 3 Saturdays.
Responsibilities
* Perform a full range of inspections, diagnosis, maintenance and repair procedures on a range of vehicles, trailers and mechanical equipment operated by Royal Mail Group.
* Work as part of a team to maintain our fleet (over 49,000 vehicles) and ensure the job is done effectively and safely.
* Utilise your own toolkit for routine maintenance and repair of light/heavy vehicles (as applicable). Specialist tooling and equipment will be provided for common use by everyone in the workshop.
Qualifications
* Fully qualified to at least advanced level (IMI Level 3 in Light or Heavy vehicle maintenance & repair or an equivalent qualification).
* Proven experience working on a wide range of vehicles (e.g., LCV/LGV) as shown on your CV.
* Full manual driving licence (LGV preferred with trailer experience).
