The PRECISION (PolymicRobial infECtions: bIomarkerS, dIagnOstics & mechaNisms) Hub. Precision-CF is part of the Translational Innovation Hub Network for CF Lung Health and Infection funded by LifeArc and Cystic Fibrosis Trust (Translational Innovation Hub Network for Lung Health & Infection in CF).
Based at Imperial College London, under the direction of Professors Jane Davies and Darius Armstrong-James, the PRECISION-CF Innovation Hub brings together a wealth of expertise from microbiologists, healthcare professionals and scientists, with the aim of developing predictive tests for lung infections to improve the lung health of people with cystic fibrosis, and to understand mechanisms and impacts of polymicrobial/ host interactions.
Working alongside and supporting clinical and basic science researchers within the Precision-CF Innovation Hub. You will have a varied and pivotal role including collecting samples from children and adults, wet laboratory duties, sample processing and administration and compliance responsibilities. The post holder will be primarily responsible for all matters relating to sample collection, coordination and management, have direct patient interactions and provision of administrative support for research and trial-related activities.

We are seeking an organised and motivated individual with:
6. A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a science‑related or healthcare discipline
7. Previous experience collecting and processing samples in a pulmonary research setting
8. Experience in clinical trial data entry
9. Experience in basic microbiological culture techniques, antibiotic sensitivity testing including aliquoting, vortexing and centrifuging.
10. The ability to manage a varied workload and adapt to changing priorities
Full training will be provided across all areas of the role.
