Principal Engineer - Electrical Engineering (Control & Instrumentation)
Job title: Principal Control & Instrumentation Engineer

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
What you'll be doing:
* Develop a functional design for the Vehicle Control solution for SSNA.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to oversee the delivery of the vehicle control solution and strategy.
* Support assurance activities alongside the Office of the Chief Engineer.
* Work with the engineering manager to deliver the vehicle control system, reporting progress via agile tools.
* Ensure timely delivery of the engineering plan.
* Guide the engineering team on methods and processes.
* Develop technical solutions with the Engineering Delivery Team and support team development.
* Engage with legacy stakeholders to develop solutions from baseline designs.
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
* Experience in developing C&I designs for large-scale systems, meeting various standards.
* Managing non-functional requirements like EMC and shock for industrial compliance.
* Authoring/reviewing design documents such as I/O schedules and interface control documents.
* Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Physics, Maths, or Science.
Desirable:
* Knowledge of control system architectures and communication protocols.
* Experience with IEC 61508 or similar functional safety standards.
* Experience with manoeuvring systems across industries.
