Our company is looking for an Assembly & Test Operative to work with a small friendly team. The applicant must be organised and be able to complete tasks with a strong attention to detail. They must have the ability to work without constant supervision and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Fundamental knowledge of dc and ac electronics theory and an ability to solder are essential.
The role will require:
· The assembly of electronic instruments following written instructions.
· Soldering and rework assembled PCBs to a high standard, both surface mount and through hole components.
· The test of production batches of electronic assemblies and circuit boards following written in-house work instructions and procedures
· The repair of electronic assemblies and circuit boards at component level
· The ability to perform basic mathematical calculations involving ratios, percentages etc., ideally GCSE mathematics grade 4 (C) or equivalent
· Knowledge and skill in use of standard electronic test equipment, e.g. oscilloscopes, bench meters, signal generators etc.
· Basic computer skills
· The ability to read and interpret electronic schematic diagrams
· The ability to analyse circuit behaviour from circuit diagrams and/or through the use of standard measurement techniques
A willingness to work flexibly to support a small team
8-4.30 Monday to Thursday, 8-1pm Friday 37 hours total.
Based on experience £25 - £27k per annum dependant on experience
