St John's College is seeking to appoint a Student Welfare Advisor to start in MT26. This is a two-year appointment open to students enrolled on a full-time graduate research course at the University of Oxford for the entirety of the appointment, with a requirement to migrate to St Johns College.
The primary duty of the Student Welfare Advisors is to provide proactive and well-being support for students on a wide range of welfare issues. The position requires an appreciation of the welfare and disciplinary issues relevant within a student community. The candidate must also be a mature person with good judgement, discretion, and an ability to relate to people at all levels.
The Student Welfare Advisors will receive a stipend of £9,817 p.a. Weekly hours will vary but are expected to average 10 hours per week during term time. Generous accommodation will be provided, including dining rights.
