You’ll enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of AXA UK’s Legal team by leading both the formulation and execution of our operational, technological, and commercial strategies.
What you’ll do
* Developing and leading the department’s strategic vision, translating it into actionable plans and initiatives.
* Driving transformative operational, technological, and process improvements to enhance legal services.
* Overseeing governance, risk management, compliance, and performance measurement frameworks.
* Spearheading digital transformation efforts, leveraging automation and AI to increase efficiency.
* Managing operational and financial performance, including budgeting and vendor relationships.
* Fostering strong stakeholder relationships internally and externally to support strategic objectives.
* Championing talent development, change management, and a high-performance team culture.
* Ensuring that governance, compliance, and risk practices support strategic and operational integrity.
As a note, AXA works smartly with flexible arrangements; you may work from home several days a week with the possibility to increase in the future. Flexibility can be discussed with Talent Acquisition.
What you’ll bring
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
* Proven experience in strategic leadership in legal operations, project management, or a related role, ideally within complex, regulated environments.
* Demonstrated ability to lead transformational programs, influence senior stakeholders, and foster cross-functional collaboration.
* Strong understanding of financial management, performance measurement, and value-driven decision-making.
* Expertise in digital transformation, leveraging technology, automation, and AI solutions.
* Strong organisational and change/project management skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills at senior levels.
* Presence and gravitas.
* Experience in talent development, change management, and implementing innovative operational models.
