The Opportunity
The Licensed Caregiver – LPN is part of the Health & Wellness Team responsible for providing high-quality care to our residents under the supervision of registered nurses and healthcare professionals.
What You’ll Do
* Supporting residents with medication.
* Take vital signs, such as blood pressure, heart rate and pulse
* Observe and report on residents’ health, escalating any problems efficiently and effectively
* Provide emotional support and serve as a source of comfort for residents and their loved ones
* Recognize abnormal changes in body functioning and report to a supervisor
* Perform nursing assessments, including vital signs monitoring, physical examinations, and health status evaluations, to identify and address resident needs promptly.
* Provide nursing interventions as directed by the registered nurse or healthcare provider, following applicable state regulations, established protocols and infection control practices.
* Responsibilities include customer service, safety, resident care, and communication.
What You’ll Bring
POSITION REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:
* Must have a valid, unrestricted nursing license in the state.
* Must be at least 18 years of age.
* Must pass State and Company criminal background/drug screens.
* Demonstrates effective time management skills.
* High school graduate or equivalent..
* Current CPR certification.
* Maintain CEU requirements.
* Read, write, speak and understand the English language.
* Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
* Interpret and implement written or oral policies, procedures, and instructions.
* Staff supervision
* Assessment and resident care skills;
* Medication management principles and practice; and
* Written and verbal communication skills.
