Job Title: People and Culture Administrator Location: Gloucester Contract Type: Temp to Perm Start Date: As soon as possible Rate: £13 per hour About the Role We are looking for a proactive and highly organised People and Culture Administrator to support our clients People and Culture team. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth and efficient HR and volunteer processes, from onboarding through to exit. You will be the first point of contact for many staff and volunteers, so excellent communication skills and a strong customer-service mindset are essential. We are able to offer a mixture of office based and work from home options for the successful candidate. Key Responsibilities Provide administrative support across HR and volunteer functions Support recruitment processes for staff and volunteers Assist with onboarding and induction activities Maintain accurate HR and volunteer records and systems Issue contracts, letters, and relevant documentation Monitor and respond to HR and volunteer inbox queries Schedule meetings and manage calendars Track and update training records, DBS checks, and compliance data Generate reports from HR and volunteer systems Attend meetings, including occasional out-of-hours volunteer events Respond proactively to staff and volunteer queries Support wider team projects and ad hoc tasks as required General Responsibilities Contribute to the organisation’s mission and values in all areas of work Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion Support fundraising activities and events where required Collaborate with Marketing & Communications on content and campaigns Work towards agreed objectives and participate in performance reviews Engage in training and development opportunities Champion the lived experiences of grieving children, young people, and families Ensure compliance with health and safety policies Essential Strong organisational and time-management skills Current DBS check Excellent written and verbal communication High level of accuracy and attention to detail Confident handling data and administrative systems Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills Good IT skills (e.g. Microsoft Office or similar systems) Ability to use initiative and manage workload independently Desirable Experience working in a charity and/or HR environment At THOMAS Professional, we are committed to creating an inclusive and accessible recruitment process.
