Join Our Team as a Traffic Management Operative!

At Go Traffic Management, we are looking for an experienced Traffic Management Operative to help us ensure that our projects run smoothly and efficiently. Your role will be crucial in maximizing productivity while upholding the highest standards of health and safety.
This position requires flexibility, as you will be working both days and nights, including some weekends. If you have a can-do attitude and a sense of responsibility, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
As a Traffic Management Operative, you will:
* Oversee various traffic management methods, including:
o Give and take
o Priority and Stop/Go boards
o Portable traffic signals
o Convoy working
o Road and lane closures, diversions
* Ensure all work is conducted according to safe working methods and best practices.
* Conduct risk assessments and method statements for traffic management tasks.
* Identify areas for improvement and report them to your line manager.
* Perform daily vehicle checks to ensure cleanliness and safety.
* Promote a positive company image through your attire, attitude, and site cleanliness.
* Assist the public by directing them through safe site lines when necessary.
* Recognize when management intervention is needed.
GTM Golden Rules
To ensure safety and compliance, please adhere to the following:
* Only undertake Traffic Management activities for which you are qualified (LANTRA).
* Ensure all setups comply with guidance and legislation (Red Book, Chapter 8, ARTSM, etc.).
* Regularly check your site for compliance.
* Report unsafe acts and conditions immediately and rectify them if safe to do so.
* Drive safely, avoid distractions, and adhere to speed limits.
* Park vehicles safely, considering public and road user safety.
* Wear five-point PPE on site at all times.
Experience and Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who possess:
* Lantra 12d accreditation (TTMBC, 12d M1-M2) as a minimum.
* Lantra 12 a/b accreditation, IPV driver, or foreman experience is advantageous.
* Understanding of Chapter 8 and the Safety at Street Works and Road Works (Red Book).
* A full valid UK driving licence.
* The ability to read and understand CAD drawings related to the work.
* Mechanical ability related to traffic lights is preferable.
