Job Title: Children’s Residential Support Worker
Location: Northamptonshire
Pay Rate: £Up to 26,500 (depending on experience) + Sleep ins (£6k)
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Support Worker to join our client’s residential care team for children and young people in Northamptonshire. This role involves providing high-quality care, leading shifts, and supporting the development of both residents and staff within a therapeutic environment.
What will your responsibilities be?
1. Lead and supervise shifts, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
2. Provide direct care and emotional support to children and young people.
3. Act as a role model, promoting positive behaviors and independence.
4. Support staff through guidance, mentoring, and on-the-job training.
5. Assist with care planning, risk assessments, and record-keeping.
6. Respond to challenging situations calmly and professionally.
7. Work collaboratively with external professionals and agencies.

Qualifications and Experience:
To be successful in this role you must have;
10. Previous experience in residential childcare (minimum 1–2 years).
11. NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People or equivalent (essential).
12. Strong leadership and communication skills.
13. Ability to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
14. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare.
