Main purpose
This is a dual role through which the individual will work part time as a teaching assistant whilst also providing part time administrative support for the school/college. The amount of hours for each role cannot be specified as this may change from day to day depending on the needs of the students or amount of administrative tasks that may need to be completed.
In the Teaching Assistant role the individual will:
* Work with class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of students
* Promote students’ independence, self-esteem and social inclusion
* Give support to students, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning, and experience a sense of achievement
In the Administrative Assistant role the individual will:
* To provide administrative, financial and public relations services to the school
* To provide a high-quality reception service for all telephone and email enquiries and personal visitors to the school
