Support Worker – Skills & Wellbeing Salary: £12.40 per hour Location: Boscawen Farm, Blackwater, Cornwall Job Type: We currently have two vacancies available for this role – one for 22.5 hours per week and one for 8.5 hours per week. At Boscawen Farm, we offer a vibrant centre for lifelong learning where individuals with learning disabilities develop essential life and vocational skills. Through hands-on, land-based activities—including animal care, horticulture, and heritage crafts—we support people to build confidence, make community connections, and explore meaningful employment opportunities. Role Overview: As a Support Worker, you will be part of a dedicated team delivering high-quality, person-centred support to individuals accessing the farm’s Skills & Wellbeing programme. You will work alongside people to: Build confidence and independence through purposeful activity Support participation in animal care, gardening, woodworking, and other land-based tasks Encourage decision-making and promote wellbeing Help individuals gain life and vocational skills in a safe and inclusive setting Support personal goals and outcomes tailored to each person’s aspirations You will also be involved in basic recording, activity planning, and collaboration with other services including education and employment teams. What We’re Looking For: We’re looking for someone who is: Kind, supportive, and enthusiastic Comfortable working outdoors in all weathers Committed to person-centred support A great team player who values inclusion and creativity Flexible and reliable, with good communication skills Experience working with people with learning disabilities, autism, or mental health challenges is an advantage, but not essential—we provide full training. A Full UK Driving Licence is required due to the rural location.
