The Role: Mergon UK are currently hiring for Maintenance Technicians to join our team in Blackburn. This role will be responsible for carrying out all maintenance requests of the blow and injection moulding machines, and scheduled maintenance as required.
Hours of Work: 12-hour continental shift pattern, rotated working 2 weeks days & 2 weeks night.
Responsibilities
* To carry out maintenance requests on shift hours.
* To ensure continued running of both production and secondary equipment.
* To carry out all scheduled maintenance as requested.
* To assist and complete tool changes when requested.
* To carry out and generate projects aimed at process/method or Engineering Improvements.
* To identify and rectify compressed air and hydraulic oil leaks.
* To carry out quality checks where necessary to assist the Team Leaders on shift.
* To pro-actively participate in progressing Health & Safety within the organisation via the Company’s Health & Safety team.
Qualifications and Experience
* At least 3 years’ experience as a skilled maintenance technician, and ideally experience of working in a manufacturing environment.
* Excellent communication skills with ability to influence others and work as part of a team.
