✅ Can you manage and develop digital learning management systems while designing engaging e-learning content and training programmes?

✅ Are you adaptable, creative, and love building strong relationships and making learning meaningful in a fast-paced environment?

If so, ArrowXL is looking for a Learning & Development Design Partner to join our fantastic team – located at either our Wigan or Worcester sites, with the flexibility of a hybrid working environment. You’ll be empowered to make a real impact within a supportive and collaborative culture.

As our Learning & Development Design Partner, you’ll play a key role in delivering our people strategy by managing the Learning Management System (LMS), coordinating training provision, supporting compliance requirements, and ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for both colleagues and service partners.

You’ll work closely with managers, leaders, and external providers to ensure learning solutions are engaging, effective, and aligned to organisational needs. An important part of your role will be the designing of learning content and delivering training directly in classroom and online settings.

If you're ready to make a difference in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, this could be the perfect next step in your career. For a confidential chat, reach out to danny.colbert@arrowxl.co.uk — or apply today!

What will the role involve?

* Oversee and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring accurate data, timely updates, and effective usage, while providing system support and liaising with the third-party provider on updates and communications.
* Monitor training compliance, maintain detailed records, and generate insightful reports for leadership.
* Develop a 12–18-month training calendar aligned with business needs, and design engaging e-learning modules, workshops, and resources that reflect the brand, values, and compliance requirements.
* Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to create and update content that supports digital and blended learning initiatives.
* Source and coordinate external training providers to ensure high-quality, cost-effective solutions, while managing scheduling, logistics, and administration for both internal and external training programmes.
* Support the smooth delivery of leadership and colleague development initiatives, and coordinate Training Champion content across sites for client-specific materials (TBC).
* Track and monitor training completion, certification renewals, and expiration dates, proactively advising leaders and providing timely reporting to support effective compliance and performance management.
* Support leaders in embedding learning into the workplace and assist with the administration and communication of the annual performance and development cycle.
* Coordinate the onboarding process for new colleagues and service partners, ensuring a consistent and engaging experience through up-to-date materials and programmes.
* Deliver induction training both virtually and in person, and facilitate small group sessions as needed (e.g., inductions, compliance, systems training).
* Build open, honest, and professional relationships with team members, colleagues, and cross-functional stakeholders.
* professional knowledge to your field, using sound judgment and established procedures to solve problems, and seek guidance from your manager when needed.
* Manage time effectively to meet individual and team deadlines and respond constructively to feedback from your line manager.
* Take ownership of your ongoing learning and development—both formal and informal—to deepen your understanding of the business and cross-functional priorities.

What are we looking for?

* Experience working in a fast-paced, medium-sized transport environment, with a strong background in L&D coordination, including managing third-party providers and stakeholder relationships.
* Skilled in managing Learning Management Systems (LMS), designing engaging learning content, and supporting onboarding and induction processes.
* Proficient in facilitating small group training sessions and confident in delivering content both virtually and in person.
* Strong organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
* Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal skills; collaborative team player who works well independently.
* Solution-focused, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement and professional development.
* Enthusiastic about learning and supporting the growth of others, with a solid understanding of instructional design principles and experience using digital authoring tools (e.g., SafetyCulture, Articulate, Captivate).
* Holds a professional L&D or HR qualification (e.g., CIPD Level 3 or equivalent).
