Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist Banding: Band 5/6 Location: Chertsey, Surrey Start: ASAP Duration: Permanent Rate: £38K-£42K Working hours: 35 hours per week Are you a passionate and forward-thinking Speech and Language Therapist looking for a rewarding opportunity? Our client in Chertsey, Surrey is seeking an enthusiastic professional to join their team at a SEN Primary School. This permanent position offers the chance to work with children aged 4-11, using your skills and knowledge in a specialist educational setting. Key Responsibilities: Manage a specialist caseload of children with severe and complex speech, language, and communication needs within the school. Conduct detailed assessments, including differential diagnosis and implementing tailored therapy programs. Deliver innovative therapy, using augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) methods Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to develop and monitor Individual Education Plans and Annual Reviews. Participate in pre-admission assessments and help shape each pupil’s personalized development plan. Work autonomously, contributing to research and curriculum development to advance therapeutic practices. Qualifications and Experience: HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist. Expertise in speech, language, and communication needs, with knowledge of autism spectrum disorders, AAC, and dysphagia.
