Job Description Job Title: QA Technician Location: North London Salary: £28,000 Key Duties and Responsibilities Carry out daily pre-production checks to confirm equipment and processes meet required standards prior to start-up Complete routine glass and brittle plastic inspections, reporting and escalating any issues identified Verify cleaning effectiveness through ATP testing, allergen swabbing, and environmental monitoring in line with site programmes Perform critical control point (CCP) verification during production and escalate deviations where necessary Check product labels daily to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications Conduct routine manual temperature monitoring across production and storage areas Complete daily calibration of temperature probes and conduct airflow checks Collect production samples for microbiological, chemical, and allergen analysis in accordance with the sampling plan Support new product development by collecting samples for trials and initial production runs Carry out chemical concentration testing for cleaning and sanitising agents Perform scheduled calibration of weighing and measuring equipment, ensuring records are completed accurately Maintain accurate and timely completion of all quality records, logs, and reports Identify, report, and support investigation of non-conformances, contributing to corrective actions Uphold high standards of housekeeping and good manufacturing practice across quality and production areas Skills and Experience Previous experience in a quality or technical role within a manufacturing environment is advantageous Sound knowledge of food safety systems, including HACCP, CCPs, and GMP Experience with environmental monitoring, sampling, and swabbing techniques Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow procedures precisely Capable of working independently while also contributing effectively within a team No Visa Sponsorship available.
