We are currently recruiting for a junior Sommelier to join the Peter Street Kitchen restaurant team at The Edwardian Manchester, A Radisson Collection Hotel.
Overview
* As a Junior Sommelier you will work alongside the Sommelier and the restaurant team to deliver an exceptional service to our guests by using good knowledge of the food and beverage menus to guide guests to a pairing that matches their food and is appropriate to their taste.
* You will help with maintaining the stock of the wine menu and will communicate when popular wines are running low.
* You will assist with wine tastings for the restaurant team and support with their general knowledge and awareness of wines.
About You
* To be considered for the role of Junior Sommelier it is essential you have good knowledge of New and Old-World wines, understanding current and future market trends.
* You will understand the strategic positioning of the hotel, restaurant & company within the competitive market.
* Have a high level of hotel product and services knowledge.
* Have excellent communication skills.
* Have good attention to detail for all areas of service and restaurant needs.
* You will have ambition to progress and create a fun and dynamic atmosphere.
