The Role
* As a Cover Supervisor, you will play an important role in maintaining continuity of learning when teachers are absent.
* You will deliver pre-planned lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring pupils stay on task and complete the work set.
* The role involves managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies, creating a calm and productive learning environment, and supporting students where needed to help them stay engaged with their learning.
* You will also have the opportunity to build positive relationships with students and staff while developing key skills such as classroom management, confidence leading a class, and understanding how schools operate on a day-to-day basis.
Who We’re Looking For
* We welcome applications from graduates considering teacher training, aspiring teachers looking to gain classroom experience, or individuals with experience working with young people.
* The ideal candidate will be confident leading a classroom of students aged, adaptable in different subject areas, and able to communicate clearly with both students and staff.
* Strong organisation skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to motivate learners are important for success in this role.
* Previous experience in a school or youth setting can be beneficial but is not essential, as support and guidance will be provided.
