Description: As a Temporary Accommodation Officer you will be involved in day-to-day housing management including dealing with any concerns households may have about their temporary home, managing the behaviour of residents, and generally ensuring that the service is delivered in a cost-effective way within agreed budgets. A typical working day may find you booking hotels, signing households into their temporary accommodation, and ensuing that housing benefits claims are made, and service charges collected. The job will involve face to face working with customers both in the office and in their homes. some customers will have complex needs and will require significant assistance. We are looking for an exceptional individual to join a small dedicated team. the successful candidate will have the ability to deal with a demanding workload which you will be adept at prioritising as per the demands of the service. You will come to us with excellent organisational and communication skills. We would be particularly keen to hear from candidates with experience of working in the public sector, or even those with relevant housing experience.
