Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Birmingham, UK
Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Temporary / Permanent (flexible depending on placement)
Salary: £95 - £115 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)

We are currently seeking enthusiastic, compassionate, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to work across a range of primary and secondary schools in Birmingham.
About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting students with a variety of special educational needs, including autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and moderate to severe learning difficulties. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure every pupil has the opportunity to thrive in a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 or small group support for students with SEN
* Assist with classroom activities and learning materials tailored to individual needs
* Monitor and record pupil progress and report to teaching staff
* Promote positive behaviour and inclusion in the classroom
* Support students with personal care (where necessary)
* Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for all learners
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (in a school or care setting)
* A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong behaviour management and a calm, patient approach
* Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2/3, or a degree in education/psychology (desirable)
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
