The Role
We are looking for a skilled Legal Counsel (2–5 years PQE) to provide practical legal support across commercial, corporate, technology, and operational matters. This hands-on role offers exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to contribute to the Group’s governance and legal framework.
Key Responsibilities
* Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including supplier agreements, technology/SaaS contracts, service agreements, and NDAs.
* Support IT and Procurement teams on software procurement and digital projects.
* Assist with corporate governance, company secretarial duties, and corporate transactions.
* Provide pragmatic legal advice to operational teams across Finance, Education, and Operations.
* Support regulatory compliance and contribute to legal risk management, templates, and playbooks.
* Collaborate with senior stakeholders and the Group Legal team on cross-functional and cross-border matters.
Experience & Skills
Essential:
* Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales.
* 2–5 years PQE in commercial, corporate, or technology law (private practice or in-house).
* Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
* Excellent communication, organisational skills, and commercial awareness.
Desirable:
* In-house experience in a regulated environment.
* Exposure to education, care, or multi-site organisations.
* Experience in IP, IT/software procurement, digital transformation, or corporate governance.
