Your Role
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and enthusiastic persons for the position of
Finance Manager
at the Catholic Education Office, Rockhampton. This a full-time position for an immediate commencement or as negotiated with the successful applicant.
The Finance Manager is a key role within CEDR, responsible for overseeing the financial services function of CEDR and ensuring the financial sustainability and performance of the organisation. CEDR comprises 8 Colleges, 31 Primary Schools and 10 Kindergartens, and is supported by the Catholic Education Office. Reporting to the Assistant Director: Business and Strategy, this position will lead the financial governance of CEDR, making significant contributions to resource planning and procurement strategies that align with our mission.
This role calls for an inspiring and innovative leader, with strong technical skills and an eye for continuous improvement.

About You
The successful applicant will have:
* An understanding of, and a commitment to, the ethos of Catholic Education.
* Well-developed presentation, written communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team.
* Professional membership of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand (CA), Certified Practicing Accountants Australia (CPA), Institute of Public Accountants (MIPA) or recognised by another professional accounting body having equivalent requirements for membership.
* Demonstrated success in a designated Head of Finance role, within a complex and decentralised organisation.
* Demonstrated success in the leadership and execution of financial and procurement management strategies to improve operational effectiveness of an organisation in the medium to long term.

Mandatory Requirements
* A current valid Blue Card under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 (WWC Act) and valid Suitability Notice is a requirement of the position.
* Hold relevant qualifications as listed above.
* Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner, including some travel to schools within the Diocese.
