ABC Teachers is seeking an experienced 1-1 Classroom Support to work in an SEN School in Walsall on a full-time basis. About the Role As a 1:1 Support within a school setting, you will play a vital role in delivering personalised support to students with special educational needs and individual learning requirements. Your main responsibility will be to provide tailored assistance that helps students overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential. You will work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure effective and consistent support strategies are in place. The role includes implementing individualised learning plans, encouraging student engagement and independence, and maintaining clear and regular communication with all stakeholders involved in the student’s development. About you: To be considered for the 1-1 Classroom Support position, you will: Have previous experience working with children and young people with a range of special educational needs, such as learning difficulties, autism, and sensory needs. Suitable qualifications such as Youth Work, Health and Social Care or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools are desired but not essential. Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
