Role Summary
Our client, Aprogressive and fast-growing building services engineering company, delivering cutting-edge, sustainable solutions across a range of commercial sectors, with a strong presence in healthcare and complex building environments. As part of theirexpansion, they are looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineerto join their team and lead in the development of sophisticated control and panel design philosophies.
The Role
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of electrical systems for commercial building services projects, particularly in the healthcare sector. You will be responsible for producing detailed designs and control philosophies, ensuring systems are compliant, efficient, and integrated to the highest standards.
Design and develop electrical systems including control and panel layouts for healthcare and other commercial buildings.
Create and refine control philosophies that align with project specifications and client needs.
Produce high-quality design documentation, technical drawings, and specifications.
Work closely with other engineers, designers, and project stakeholders to deliver integrated MEP solutions.
Ensure designs meet current regulations, industry standards, and project goals.
Provide technical support during installation and commissioning phases.
Key Requirements
Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Experience in the design of control systems and panel layouts for building services
Proven track record of electrical design within commercial environments, especially healthcare.
Strong knowledge of UK electrical standards and healthcare-specific regulations.
Proficient in design tools including AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech, and relevant industry software.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
