Specialist Pharmacist Mental Health – Brighton and Hove
Are you enthusiastic and passionate about improving the lives of patients with mental health conditions? A core member of our community teams across Brighton and Hove is looking for an innovative, skilled clinical pharmacist.
Responsibilities
• Provide a clinical pharmacy and medicines optimisation service to ensure community patients receive the best from their medicines.
• Deliver robust medicines education and training to patients, pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals.
• Communicate effectively with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Analyse clinical evidence and generate high quality pharmacotherapeutic advice.
• Interface with primary care partners to support safe transition of care and medication optimisation.
• Participate in on-call advice service (advice only, no weekend or dispensary working).
Qualifications
• Qualified pharmacist with experience in a specialist mental health service.
• Strong clinical communicator, patient facing and multidisciplinary team working.
• Understanding of medicines used and patients cared for in a mental health setting.
• Commitment to external training (e.g., College of Mental Health Pharmacy Psych 1 and Psych 2 programme) and further accreditation is encouraged.
