Hours: 37.5 hours Monday – Friday
Location: Staci UK, Radial, Chadderton
Salary: £27,000 - £34,000

Job Purpose
To be site first contact for all Health & Safety matters. Lead the implementation and maintenance of the 3PL established Health & Safety System, support the operations team in day-to-day Health & Safety management and improvements and drive the continual improvement of Health & Safety standards and systems
Daily Duties
· Excellent understanding of the Health & Management System.
· Coordinating the implementation of safety initiatives across departments and both sites.
· Lead and/or support accident/incidence investigations.
· Maintain systems and ensure all information is accurate and up to date.
· Maintaining compliance registers, training records and corrective action logs.
· Collecting, analysing and tracking incident/near-miss data.
· Improve knowledge through self-learning and external training.
· Delivery Health & Safety training for new starters and existing employees at all levels.
· Act in a professional and courteous manner when dealing with both internal and external customers.
· Ensuring H&S activities; risk assessments, inspections and audits are completed on schedule.
· Lead by example and challenge poor behaviours
· Constantly planning and prioritizing work around operational and business requirements.
· Be confident to look for and suggest potential process and system improvements.
· Work with Facilities Coordinator, suppliers and contractors.
· Carry out duties to help support the company mission statement in line with the company's core values
Person Specification
Problem Solving:
· Proactive in identifying and implementing improvements.
· Work with operations to support new client/process implementations.
· Gather infrmation from a variety of sources.
· Able to differentiate between critical and less relevant information.
· Follow up on recommendations to ensure actions are actually completed.
· Chasing managers or supervisors to close out safety actions.
Internal Demands:
· Acting as the link between H&S Senior managers, operational teams suppliers and contractors.
· Challenge managers when required.
· Preparing summary reports for management.
· Balance demands sometimes with conflicting priorities.
· Plan and lead Health & Safety meetings.
· Scheduling and delivering training sessions, inductions and refresher courses.
· Keeping training matrices up to date.
· Coordinating external audits, inspections and visits from regulators.
· Supporting the manager during accreditation processes (e.g., ISO45001).
· Owning routine processes like accident reporting systems, permit-to-work, or PPE stock checks.
· Standardising documentation across sites/teams.
Personal Attributes:
· Highly motivated and an extremely organised self-starter.
· Very strong leadership skills.
· Great attention to detail.
Qualifications and Experience:
· A very good understanding of key Health & Safety legal requirements e.g. LOLER, PUWER, Fire Regs, Manual Handling, COSHH, Dangerous Goods shipping etc.
· NEBOSH certified
· Must work well both in teams or individually.
· Excellent PC, written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
· High degree of customer and quality focus.
