Overview
Become an important member of our Reablement Team and make a real difference to people’s lives as they recover after a hospital stay. Our work is guided by empathy, respect, compassion and trust. We support individuals to regain confidence, rebuild skills and live as independently as possible through person centred and strengths based practice.
You will join an experienced and supportive team where teamwork and wellbeing are central. We offer a positive working environment, flexible working options and clear opportunities for career development. You will receive a thorough induction, along with access to ongoing training and peer support sessions, helping you develop your skills while maintaining a healthy work life balance.
Responsibilities
As an Occupational Therapist, you will use your professional expertise to complete assessments, design tailored reablement plans and guide individuals towards meaningful goals. Your honest and supportive approach will help people understand their strengths and options, while your adaptable mindset will ensure each plan reflects changing needs and abilities.
You will act as a trusted advisor within the team, offering guidance on equipment, safe practice and decision making. Integrity and respect shape every interaction, and you will play an active part in supporting colleagues and contributing to continuous improvements across the service.
The role offers autonomy to manage your own schedule and provide personalised support across a varied caseload in homes, hospitals and community settings. You will also receive ongoing professional support from our Principal Occupational Therapist, along with access to leadership and coaching programmes.
Qualifications
Qualified Occupational Therapist with at least two years post qualification experience and a full UK driving licence.
Benefits
Our hybrid working model means office staff are on site for at least half their hours, community-based staff carry out at most half their admin time in a workplace, and customer‑facing roles work entirely from their service location.
This position comes with a 12.5% market supplement payment. All market supplement payments are subject to review on an annual basis.
Equality and Inclusion
We are committed to creating a workplace where positive relationships thrive and everyone feels engaged, supported and able to do their best. We do not tolerate discrimination, bullying or harassment. Everyone is expected to promote a culture of inclusion, dignity, trust and respect, guided by our vision and Our Identity.
We are firmly committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and to the principles of inclusion and diversity in both employment and the delivery of services.
