I am working with a client who is looking for an experienced Account Handler to join their SME team, based out of either Leicester or Northampton with a hybrid set up. This is a busy role where you will be supporting a wide range of SME commercial insurance clients, handling everything from renewals and mid-term adjustments to claims and day-to-day queries.
The team is close-knit, collaborative and prides itself on delivering a high standard of service without the traditional Account Executive model. You’ll be trusted to build strong relationships directly with clients, offering expert advice and ensuring their needs are fully met. The role also involves negotiating with insurers to secure competitive terms, keeping all records accurate and compliant, and contributing to retention and growth.
To be considered you’ll need previous experience in an account handling role within the commercial insurance sector, with good knowledge of SME products. Strong communication and organisational skills are essential, alongside a clear understanding of FCA and Consumer Duty requirements. Experience with Acturis is useful but not essential, and if you are working towards your Cert CII or ACII that would be an advantage.
