Tribunal Officers – SEND | Hertfordshire | Up to £390 per day

Duration: 3–6 months (with potential extension)
Working Pattern: Hybrid (2–3 days on-site)
Are you an experienced Tribunal Officer with a strong background in SEND and Education Law? Hertfordshire is seeking skilled professionals to join their dynamic team and make a real difference to children and families navigating the EHCP Tribunal process.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and respond to SENDIST appeals, including mediation and tribunal hearings
2. Prepare robust case statements and evidence bundles
3. Represent the Local Authority in hearings, liaising with legal advisors and witnesses
4. Support resolution of disputes and contribute to improved outcomes for children and young people
5. Work closely with SEN Case Officers, legal teams, and external professionals
6. Maintain accurate case records and timelines in line with statutory requirements
Requirements:
7. Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, the Children and Families Act 2014, and the SEND Code of Practice
8. Proven experience managing SEND Tribunal cases from start to finish
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
10. Ability to handle complex caseloads and meet tight deadlines
11. Experience working within a Local Authority SEND team (desirable)
