Experienced SEN Lead Teacher – Exciting Opportunity in Hertfordshire, Ware
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Lead Teacher to join our team for a full-time, one-year position starting in September 2025. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to lead SEN provision, support students with additional needs, and collaborate with staff, parents, and external agencies.
Role Overview:
As the SEN Lead Teacher, you will oversee the school's SEN provision, develop and review individual education plans (IEPs), and promote an inclusive environment where all students can thrive. You will work closely with colleagues and external professionals to ensure tailored support and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and coordinate SEN support across the school
* Guide teachers on SEN inclusion best practices
* Develop and review IEPs for students with SEN
* Monitor student progress and collaborate with families and agencies
* Promote an inclusive and supportive school culture
Minimum Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience with SEN students
* Passion for inclusion and student well-being
* Strong leadership and collaboration skills
* Excellent communication skills
* Proactive and flexible approach to individual student needs
