Join Alcedo Care South Lakes as a Complex Care Assistant supporting a Gentleman in his own home in Kirkby Stephens. You will help promote the gentleman's independence, dignity and quality of life, offering reassurance and companionship throughout the night.
Area: Kirkby Stephen
Shift Pattern: Night Shifts - 8:00pm to 8:00am
Location: Kirkby Stephen, Kendal and surrounding areas
Pay and Benefits
* Pay: £17.00 - £18.00/hour + Holiday Pay + Pension (Rolled Up Rate: £19.62 - £20.78/hour)
* Excellent rates of pay £17.00 - £18.00 PLUS Pension PLUS Holiday Pay (equating to a Rolled Up pay rate of £19.62 - £20.78)
* £250 Welcome Bonus after successful 3-month probation review
* Enhanced bank holiday rates
* Extra earnings through referral scheme - £252 / referral
* Mileage contribution for drivers

Role and Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with complex health needs, including spinal injuries, respiratory conditions, and neurological disorders.
* Receive comprehensive training and competency sign-off from our in-house team of Registered Nurses.
* Carry out clinical tasks such as manual cough assist, digital stimulation for bowel management, postural and spinal support, PEG care, tracheostomy care, and provide ongoing assistance with continence, medication, mobility, meal preparation and helping with household tasks.
* Promote the person’s independence while bringing a sense of joy to those supported.
Qualifications and Requirements
* At least 6 months of hands-on care experience in a UK care setting.
* Aged 18 or over due to the nature of the role.
* Role requires unsupervised work with vulnerable individuals and flexible hours including late evenings and weekends.
* Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references were required.
