We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Kiln Operative to begin working with our prestigious pottery manufacturing facility based on Stoke-on-Trent.
The Key Responsibilities of the Kiln Operative will be
* Loading and Unloading: Packing ceramic products efficiently into kilns and removing them after the firing cycle.
* Kiln Operation: Monitoring kiln performance, setting firing schedules, and operating the machinery to reach specific temperatures.
* Quality Control: Inspecting products before firing to ensure proper preparation and after firing to identify defects, cracks, or damage.
* Kiln Maintenance: Cleaning kiln furniture (shelves, batts) and ensuring the kiln interior is clean.
* Handling: Transporting raw materials and finished products, which often involves heavy lifting.
Hours of work will be 7.30am-3.30pm Monday to Thursday, and 6am-1.30pm on Friday.
Pay rate of £12.71ph.
