Overview

Hayley Dexis is looking for a driven Admin Assistant to join our well-established and experienced Fasteners team at our headquarters in Halesowen. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary.

About the role

As our Admin Assistant, you’ll be responsible for providing an efficient and professional response to incoming phone and email enquiries, processing orders promptly, and ensuring excellent customer service at every stage. You’ll work closely with customers, Hayley branch staff, and suppliers to build strong relationships, establishing credibility through your product knowledge and commitment to meeting their needs.

You’ll prepare accurate and competitive quotations, assist branch staff with technical queries, and use our in-house system to identify, source, and price items effectively. Attention to detail is key, as you’ll record enquiries, manage sales orders, and raise purchase orders within the system. In addition, you’ll play a vital role in sourcing and purchasing stock to maintain appropriate inventory levels, using your product knowledge and initiative to locate and obtain non-stock or specialist items when required.

Working hours: 40 hours per week Monday - Friday.


What we’re looking for in our Admin Assistant

* Experience within the Fasteners industry is highly desirable, but consideration will be given to candidates from similar backgrounds with the desire and drive to learn a new industry
* Proficient in basic computer applications, i.e. Microsoft Outlook and Excel
* Professional level of verbal and written communication skills, as well as good numerical skills
* Excellent time management skill

The recruitment process

Shortlisted applicants will have an initial screening call with our Talent Acquisition Coordinator.

Candidates selected for interview will be asked to prepare for an interview lasting 1 hour focused on skills, knowledge, experience and motivations. There may be an additional interview stage which will be confirmed to shortlisted candidates.
