Purpose of the job: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Specialist to join our dynamic European team. This role is key to driving the growth of our robotics solutions by engaging with customers and stakeholders to deliver tailored solutions to meet their needs, focusing on the UK & Ireland market.
Key Responsibilities
Drive Sales and Business Growth
Identify customer needs and deliver tailored robotics solutions aligned with business objectives.
Prepare and deliver professional proposals and quotations that meet customer requirements and company standards.
Customer Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships to ensure trust and repeat business.
Engage with key stakeholders and decision-makers at all organisational levels, including production and manufacturing leadership.
Pipeline and CRM Management
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of activities, opportunities, and knowledge sharing through the CRM system.
Market and Product Expertise
Maintain expert knowledge of OMRON products, services, and competitive offerings to provide optimal recommendations.
Utilising commercial acumen as appropriate, monitor market trends and emerging technologies to deliver innovative, future-ready solutions.
Collaboration and Project Validation
Work effectively with NSC teams and specialised robotics application teams to validate projects and implement technical solutions.
Support on-site activities with Field Application Engineers to ensure successful deployment and customer satisfaction.
Brand Representation and Networking
Represent OMRON Robotics at industry events and trade shows to generate new business opportunities.
Skills & Qualifications
Sales and Account Management Expertise
Proven experience in robotics business as an Account Manager or similar role.
Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets and drive business growth in the face of adversity.
Customer Engagement and Communication
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to represent the company confidently in front of large audiences and at industry events.
Technical and Market Knowledge
Strong commercial acumen and understanding of robotics technologies and market trends.
Passion for technology with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
Strategic and Analytical Thinking
Results-driven mindset with the ability to make sound decisions at pace.
Skilled in identifying new markets and opportunities to expand business.

Comfortable working across countries and with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions.
Additional Requirements
Full English language proficiency.
Valid UK Driver's License.
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
Travel Requirements
Manage a national territory (UK & Ireland) with regular in-person customer meetings to strengthen relationships and drive business growth.
Plan travel efficiently to ensure safety and minimise excessive driving hours, including overnight stays when necessary.
Balance customer presence with work-life priorities by leveraging remote communication tools where appropriate.
Occasional travel within Europe for collaboration and business development activities.
