Pay rate – £40 per hour Contract – Temporary Liverpool City Council are currently recruiting an experienced children’s Consultant Social Worker for their Early Help team. Conducting reviews of interventions carried out by dedicated Family Support Personnel and Social Work Professionals. These reviews will concentrate on the direct experiences of service recipients, as well as the efficacy and influence of interventions, with the aim of elevating service standards throughout the organization. Their casework decisions are robust, backed by detailed analysis and professional judgment. The Mentor and Supervisor : Our Consultant Social Worker takes on the role of a mentor, guiding team members, including ASYE participants and social work students. They maintain high standards of performance and practice within the team. The Collaborator and Risk Manager : With an eagle eye for spotting potential issues, this professional actively engages in risk management. They advise on resource allocation and collaborate with internal and external colleagues to coordinate service delivery. The Communication Champion and Innovator : Whether navigating challenging conversations or pushing the boundaries of best practices, our Consultant Social Worker leads by example. Their reports are top-notch, and they promote innovative approaches across the team. Children’s Social Workers will need at least 3 years’ permanent experience with an English local authority and to be registered with Social Work England, as per DfE rules.
