We are seeking two creative Sous Chefs to join our culinary team at our large hotel and our purpose built event space.
Your role will involve planning and executing menus for banquets, weddings, functions, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring that the food served at events is of the highest quality and you will form part of the senior team within the kitchen brigade. The ideal candidate is an experienced chef who is familiar with all types of meal preparations, multi site operations and knowledgeable about food health and safety regulations.
Ultimately, the role is to ensure customer satisfaction through the preparation of high-quality, delicious meals for various events at the hotel, spa and our purpose built event space The Post Barn.
Responsibilities Assisting with d esign of menus
Ensure that the kitchen operations run smoothly during events
Supervise and coordinate activities of kitchen staff
Maintain high standards of food health and safety
Order food supplies and kitchen equipment as needed
Work with the event planner to ensure client satisfaction
Train kitchen staff on prep work and plating techniques
Monitor and control stock levels
Stay current on culinary trends and techniques
Qualifications Proven work experience in a busy environment
Knowledge of food health and safety regulations
Excellent organisational and team management skills
Ability to handle stress and remain calm
