Project Manager – Air Traffic Management & Commercial Edinburgh
Permanent Salary + Bonus
Hybrid – Located anywhere within the UK but will be required to come to Edinburgh often.
28 Days Holiday + 8 BH - 36 Total.
Pension 6% / 12% = 18% Total.
My client is a leading Air Traffic Management company who provides both Air Traffic Control and Engineering services to one of Scotland’s busiest airports.
In addition, they provide an array of services across various disciplines to the UK’s small – medium range airports. In addition, they are part of a larger group who is global recognised as a leading provider of Air Traffic Services.
You will be responsible for managing Proposals, Bids and Tenders as well as full project life cycle for a multitude of key projects and initiatives, establishing professional project management methodologies, techniques and controls, ensuring project governance is adhered to at all times.
In addition, you will have Account Manager responsibilities and will be required to co-ordinate internal resources and third parties to deliver projects successfully, on time and to budget.
You will report project progress to the Project Boards / Senior Leadership Team, ensuring any issues are openly communicated.
Lead day to day planning and delivery of multifunctional projects.
Work within and, where appropriate, support the continuous improvement process of developing and updating standardised project management methodologies ensuring effective, efficient governance of all projects; championing a consistent and practical approach to project management throughout the organisation while instilling discipline and focus.
Ensure all can be done to deliver projects on-time, within scope and within budget through life cycle management.
Manage remote project teams from Project Kick off all the way through to closure.
Coordinate project resources (both internal and external) including stakeholder mapping and engagement. This will require frequent travel to where stakeholders are located.
Manage the compliance of contractors to contract terms and conditions.
Maintain the master documents and business tools which drive the on-target delivery of each project.
Manage risks and ensure contingency plans are in place where required.
Ensure Change and Configuration Management are executed in a controlled manner while balancing any scope creep with the business needs and project deliverables.
Liaise directly with the regulator to keep them up to date with the status of projects and determine areas of concern that require focus.
Develop project reporting and present to a range of audiences including Project Highlight Reports, Operations Board Packs as well as ad hoc Project Deep Dives.
Facilitate Lessons Learned workshops and create Project Closure Reports.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with project team, co-workers, supervisors, the customer and external contacts while balancing a day to day workload with the requirements of the project.
Highlight future project opportunities that help deliver the Company’s strategic aims, improve processes, and /or improve service to clients.

Prince 2 Practitioner, Agile, PMP, Six Sigma qualified or equivalent.
Solid technical background with experience managing complex multi-functional projects.
Strong influential skills – capable of working with and challenging internal and external Senior Managers and Directors.
Experience producing monthly reports relating to project deliverables.
Experience to include interpretation of contracts, implementation of project controls, contract correspondence and close out of projects.
Experience in programme creation, analysis, interpretation and reporting.
Good understanding of commercial principles and their relevance to the respective tasks and projects.
