Overview
At University Hospital Tees we have high ambitions and as a Group we are committed to delivering more together for the populations we serve. This is an exciting opportunity for an ST3+ trust doctor to join the paediatric team at registrar level. The post will involve work in an outpatient capacity at both South Tees and North Tees/Hartlepool sites in order to help with wait times and support care closer to home for families.
Applications are invited from doctors with experience in both community and general paediatrics, with the opportunity to develop interests according to the needs of the department and personal interests.
Responsibilities
* Deliver clinics covering all aspects of community child health, including assessment and follow up of children with a range of neurodevelopmental concerns, complex neuro‑disabilities and associated health needs.
* Work closely as part of the local multidisciplinary teams (physiotherapy, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, dietitian, epilepsy team, specialist nurses, audiology, orthopaedics, orthotics, psychology) and wider multidisciplinary teams such as genetics, neurology tertiary services and multi‑agency teams (Safeguarding, CAMHS and Getting Help team).
Qualifications
* At least 12 months of middle grade experience in the UK NHS, with previous outpatient clinic experience in the relevant fields.
* Experience in community and general paediatrics.
