Relief Educator
Relief Educator are part of the team who provide safe, high-quality education and care for children 0-5 year and fulfil legal and statutory requirements. To work with a small group of children as part of a team under the direction of the senior management team and to maintain a warm, friendly, and stimulating atmosphere in which children can develop An enhanced DBS check and references are required before any appointment can be confirmed.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To contribute to the creation of a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all children.
2. To care for children and follow instructions and systems to ensure consistent, high-quality care.
3. To be vigilant and protect children from harm or abuse, reporting any concerns immediately – in accordance with child protection and safeguarding policies.
4. To play and interact with the children inside and outside.
5. To be reliable and punctual, maintaining staffing ratios at all times.
6. To interact warmly with children and parents, supporting colleagues to fulfill their key person responsibilities.
Person Specification
Essential criteria
* Experience of children 0-5 years.
* A satisfactory enhanced DBS check which confirms suitability to work with children.
* Positive, approachable, and flexible attitude.
* Ability to work with and communicate with colleagues, parents and encourage their involvement.
* Commitment to and understanding of diversity and equality.
* Ability to communicate effectively with others both written and verbal.
* Ability to work as part of a team and use own initiative.
Desirable criteria
* Level 2 or 3 Early years qualification.
* Knowledge of the EYFS.
* Awareness of the SEND Code of Practice.
Pay: £12.21-£13.00 per hour
