Make a Difference Where It Matters Most – Become a Tutor in Oxfordshire
Are you an empathetic, patient educator who believes in the power of second chances?
We are looking for dedicated tutors to support vulnerable young people across Oxfordshire, particularly in Witney, Wantage, Bicester, and Didcot, who are currently out of mainstream education. These students may have experienced significant gaps in their learning—but with the right guidance, encouragement, and consistency, they can rediscover confidence and a love for learning.
About the Role
You’ll deliver 1:1 or small group tuition, typically between 9:00am – 3:00pm, helping to rebuild not only academic skills but also trust, motivation, and self-belief. Every session is an opportunity to create a safe, supportive space where progress—no matter how small—is celebrated.
Availability
We ask for a minimum of 10–15 hours per week, with flexibility to fit around your schedule within school hours.
What We’re Looking For
* Compassionate, empathetic individuals who can build positive relationships
* Patient and adaptable tutors who tailor lessons to each learner’s unique needs
* Experienced educators who understand that progress looks different for every young person
* Confidence supporting students with EHCPs (Education Health Care Plans)
* Experience working with young people with SEN
* A genuine passion for helping students see the positives in learning again
Why This Role Matters
For many of our learners, education hasn’t been a positive experience—yet. Your role will be to gently change that narrative. Through creativity, encouragement, and consistency, you’ll help unlock potential and inspire a brighter future.
If you’re ready to make a meaningful impact and be part of a student’s journey back into education, we’d love to hear from you.
