This Engagement Support Officer position offers the chance to work with a respected UK organisation in the aviation sector, supporting its membership community during an exciting period of modernisation and growth. About the Organisation You’ll be joining a long-standing professional body and trade union representing over 10,000 aviation professionals. They play a vital role in supporting members on workplace issues, career development, training, and industry-wide policy and safety matters. With new leadership in place and an active programme of improvement underway, this is a fantastic time to get involved and make a meaningful contribution to the organisation’s member engagement strategy. The Role The Engagement Support Officer is a key member of the engagement and career services team, responsible for building connections with new and prospective members, particularly trainee and early-career professionals. Key Responsibilities Membership Engagement & Recruitment Attend induction days nationwide to deliver presentations and promote membership Build relationships with training providers, schools, and industry partners Follow up with new joiners, manage queries, and process membership applications Prepare presentations, written materials, and recruitment content Maintain accurate member tracking and reporting Career & Early-Career Support Share job opportunities and careers content through internal platforms Assist with training events, webinars, and career fairs Support logistics and marketing for nationwide engagement events Help strengthen engagement with trainee and associate members Relationship Management Work closely with internal teams, committees, and stakeholder groups Support collaboration across the organisation’s member network Represent the organisation professionally at events and outreach activity What We’re Looking For Confident presenting to groups and engaging with diverse audiences Strong relationship-building and communication skills Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple deadlines Experience in engagement, outreach, events, membership, or stakeholder roles is a plus Willing and able to travel across the UK for inductions and events (expenses covered) Benefits £37,000 salary 25 days holiday, increasing annually up to 30 days Hybrid working with a modern HQ near Heathrow (free parking great transport links) Above-average DC pension scheme Health cash plan covering dental, optical, health screening, therapy, vaccinations, wellness treatments & more Supportive, collaborative working environment during an exciting period of transformation How to Apply If you're passionate about engagement work and keen to support professionals in a unique and meaningful sector, we’d love to hear from you
