Ourleadinginvestmentbankingclientisseekinganexperienced JavaDeveloper tojointheirhigh-performingengineeringteaminGlasgow.Thisisafantasticopportunitytoworkwithinaglobalfinancialenvironment,contributingtothedesign,development,andoptimisationofcomplex,high-volumesystemsthatunderpintradingandriskoperations.
Youllcollaboratewithglobalteamstodeliverscalable,reliable,andsecuresoftwaresolutionswhileensuringalignmentwitharchitecturalandregulatorystandards.
KeyResponsibilities:
Design,develop,andmaintainrobustJava-basedapplicationsusedacrosstradingandriskmanagementplatforms.
Workwithcross-functionalteamstodeliverefficient,maintainable,andwell-testedcode.
Optimiseapplicationperformanceandensureadherencetosecurityandcompliancerequirements.
Participateincodereviews,architecturediscussions,andcontinuousimprovementinitiatives.
Supportintegrationwithdatabases,APIs,andinternalsystems.
Troubleshootproductionissuesandprovidetimelyresolutions.
KeySkills&Experience:
StrongcommercialexperienceinJava11orabove(Java17preferred).
ProficiencywithSpringFramework(SpringBoot,SpringBatch,SpringIntegration).
Experiencewithmicroservices,RESTfulAPIs,andevent-drivenarchitectures.
GoodunderstandingofSQLandrelationaldatabases(e.g.Oracle,PostgreSQL).
ExposuretoUnix/Linuxenvironmentsandscripting.
ExperiencewithCI/CDpipelinesandversioncontroltools(Git,Jenkins,Maven,etc.).
Familiaritywithfinancialservicesorbankingtechnologyenvironmentsisadvantageous.
Strongproblem-solvingskillsandacollaborativemindset.
