The role:
As a Supply Primary Teacher, you will play a key role in maintaining educational continuity across year groups. Whether covering pre-set lessons or contributing your own creative teaching strategies, you will be a valued part of the teaching team. This is a great opportunity for experienced teachers or newly qualified teachers who seek flexibility while making a real difference in children’s lives.
Key Responsibilities of Primary Teacher - Supply:
* Deliver pre-planned and engaging lessons across EYFS, KS1 or KS2 in the absence of class teachers
* Adapt teaching to accommodate the needs of all pupils, including those with SEN or EAL
* Maintain high standards of classroom management and positive behaviour
* Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment
* Mark and assess pupils' work in line with school policy where required
* Collaborate with teaching assistants and other staff to support pupil progress
* Uphold school policies on safeguarding, behaviour, and equality
* Communicate effectively with parents and staff when necessary
* Participate in school meetings or briefings as needed during placements
Supply Primary Teacher Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent degree in the UK is essential
* Proven classroom teaching experience in Primary settings (EYFS, KS1 or KS2)
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* A flexible, enthusiastic, and positive attitude
* Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or willingness to apply for a new one)
* Knowledge of current curriculum standards and safeguarding practices
