Are you a driven sales professional with a passion for building relationships and exceeding targets? We’re looking for an Area Sales Manager to join our dynamic team and take ownership of a high-performing territory within the merchant sector.
About the Role
As an Area Sales Manager, you’ll be the face of our sealants and adhesives range, working across 350–500 merchant branches covering central Scotland, the boarders, Cumbria and Newcastle. Your mission? To drive sales, deliver engaging product demonstrations, and build strong relationships with branch staff and end users.
Key Responsibilities
Exceed sales and margin targets across your territory
Conduct a minimum of 1 product demonstration per morning 3-4 days a week in-branch and 8-10 sales calls in the afternoon
Train and support branch staff on product features and benefits
Ensure in-store product presentation is top-notch
Implement staff incentives and promotional campaigns
Maintain accurate records via our CRM system
Manage your own schedule and admin duties from a home base
Continuously develop your personal and professional skills

✅ What We’re Looking For
GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade B/C or above)
Strong product and market knowledge (sealants/adhesives a plus)
Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
Ability to plan, organise, and self-motivate
Confident using MS Office and CRM systems
Experience in the merchant or construction sector is highly desirable
