Working within the Surface Finishes department, you'll carry out plating processes including cadmium, chrome, nickel, and zinc/nickel, while supporting continuous improvement and maintaining safety standards. What you'll be doing: - Process components through plating operations such as cadmium, chrome, nickel, and zinc/nickel. - Perform associated tasks including oven work and cadmium passivation. - Measure components before and after plating using micrometers, calipers, and permascopes. - Manage chemical additions to processing vats and ensure compliance with specifications. - Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and maintain high standards of safety and housekeeping. Candidate skills & requirements What you'll bring - Experience in plating processes or a completed processing apprenticeship. - Competence in using precision measuring equipment and interpreting technical drawings. - Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose equipment issues and support process improvements. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive and self-managed approach. - Commitment to 5S principles, safe working practices, and continuous improvement.
