The role
Herefordshire Community Wellbeing Directorate is a welcoming and supportive place to work. We seek enthusiastic, self-motivated, professionally confident Social Workers with experience working with adults with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, mental health needs, and older adults.
This role involves a variety of adult social work tasks, including Care Act Assessments, support planning using a Strength-Based approach, CHC and s117 work, Section 42 Enquiries, Mental Capacity Assessments, and Community DoLS.
You will have regular supervision and opportunities for professional growth, including exploring specialist practice areas.
About You
As a Social Worker, you will:
* Be registered with Social Work England.
* Hold a Degree, Diploma, C.S.S, or C.Q.S.W in Social Work practice.
* Understand current legislation and guidance relevant to adult social care.
* Be knowledgeable in person-centered, strengths-based, outcome-focused assessment, care management, and review.
* Be capable of undertaking Safeguarding Enquiries with appropriate training and experience.
* Have or be willing to undertake courses in Practice Education, Best Interest Assessment, or Approved Mental Health Professional.
* Experience working in partnership with other agencies to ensure safety and support independence.
