We are seeking a passionate and experiencedCareers Advisorto lead and deliver a high-quality, inclusive careers education, information, advice, and guidance (CEIAG) programme for our Deaf and hard-of-hearing students with EHCPs.
This is a unique opportunity to shape the aspirations and outcomes of young people, supporting their transition into employment, training, or further education. You’ll work closely with students, families, staff, and employers to ensure every learner receives tailored, accessible, and empowering guidance.
What You’ll Do
* Deliver a comprehensive CEIAG programme aligned with theGatsby BenchmarksandCDI Code of Ethics.
* Provide 1:1 and group guidance usingBritish Sign Language (BSL)or other accessible formats.
* Coordinate inclusive employer engagement activities, includingwork experience,workplace visits, andguest speakers.
* Support students withUCAS,apprenticeships,supported internships, and other progression routes.
* Collaborate with curriculum staff to embed careers learning across the college.
* Develop and maintain inclusive careers resources and maintain accurate records of student progress.
* Promoteself-advocacy,confidence, andindependencein students navigating the world of work.

Qualifications
Qualification Title

5 GCSEs including Maths and English (grade 4-9) or equivalent Grade C or above (Grade 4-9) Essential
Skills

Level 3 qualification in education support, or the commitment to study Essential
A recognised qualification in Careers Guidance (e.g. L6 or equivalent experience) Desirable
